As May comes, flowers blossoms, colors go crazy and Sardinia and Corsica is waking up. The crystal waters will shimmer under the spring sun as we adore the colors of the spring from the blue we are surrounded. Join us for this unforgettable journey through the breathtaking La Maddalena Archipelago, exploring pristine beaches, stunning islands, and charming villages from May 30th to June 6th, 2026.
Cannigione
We will start our journey on the northern part of Sardinia. Our port is at Cannigione. This quaint seaside village boasts pristine beaches and scenic views of the surrounding countryside. Its crystal clear waters make it a hugely popular spot for snorkelling and diving but it offers a variety of other relaxing activities, such as swimming, sunbathing and fishing. Being located in famous Maddalena Archipelago, which are known for their stunning beauty and diverse wildlife, this town is the perfect spot for nature enthusiast. In addition to its natural beauty, Canniglione is also home to a number of restaurants, cafes, and shops that make this town a convenient and enjoyable stay for charterers to Sardinia.
Cala Portese
Distance from last location: 5 nmWe will spend our first night on anchor at Cala Portese, situated at the Caprera Island, this bay is just short of an hour in distance. With its beautiful blue waters and lovely beach, we will surely enjoy our first night here at the Caprera.
Spiaggia Testa del Polpo
Distance from last location: 3 nmNext morning, our first stop will be Spiaggia Testa del Polpo. This bay is nestled within the captivating landscape of the Tyrrhenian Sea in the Giardinelli islet. Named after the shape of a rock present in the beach that translates to "Octopus Head Beach". It enchants everyone with its rugged cliffs, crystal-clear waves and white sands, offering the ideal coastal escape. We will enjoy our time here and sail to our next destination. Cavallo Island.
Cavallo Island
Distance from last location: 12 nmCavallo, also referred to as Porragia Island, is a small but picturesque island situated in the Bonifacio Strait, off the coast of Corsica. We will be spending our night at the Port of Cavallo. The island's prominent features include its magnificent granite boulders, serene beaches, clear azure waters, and high-end resorts, which make it a popular destination for luxury yacht charters in southern Corsica. The surrounding waters of the island offer excellent opportunities for scuba diving, snorkelling, and sailing.
Lavezzi
Distance from last location: 2 nmWe will enjoy the breathtaking archipelago of The Lavezzi Islands, 10 small islands that offer natural beauty, crystal-clear waters, and serene tranquility. The islands are untouched by human intervention, making it a haven for wildlife and a paradise for nature lovers. Porto della Madonna
Distance from last location: 5 nmOur next stop is Porto Della Madonna. It is nestled between the three islands Razzoli, Budelli and Santa Maria, this magical bay will definitely take your breath away. At sunset, when the bay is bathed in a golden light, Porto della Madonna becomes a mystical location. The sky turns a gorgeous pastel palette, creating a picture-perfect setting for a passionate evening. Enjoy the peace and serenity, and let the islands' charm take effect on your mind and spirit.
Cala Granara
Distance from last location: 4 nmAfter a fullfiling night at the Porto Della Madonna, we are turning our route to Cala Grana on on Spargi Granitic Island, having one of the most gorgeous sandy coasts in the entire La Maddalena Archipelago. Its smooth, sandy dunes are surrounded by a beautiful Mediterranean scrub of wild junipers, helichrysum, and rosemary flowers. Granite rocks surround the shore, providing shelter and solitude. This lovely island is distinguished by the existence of old shipwrecks, such as the remnants of a Roman ship on the seafloor. The isle is a crowd favorite since it is one of the nearest beaches to Palau and gives the impression of swimming in a natural pool.
La Maddalena
Distance from last location: 3 nmAfter relaxing and enjoying our time at Cala Grana, our next stop and the place to spend our night, is La Maddalena. It is situated on the Maddalena Island, the main island of the archipelago, La Maddalena is one of "I Borghi più belli d'Italia" ("The most beautiful villages of Italy")
Santo Stefano
Distance from last location: 1 nmThe island is home to several magnificent beaches, such as Spiaggia della Punta and Spiaggia di Cala di Santo Stefano, featuring soft white sands and clear waters that are ideal for sunbathing and relaxation. Santo Stefano has many ancient ruins, including the remains of a Roman villa and an old watchtower, for those interested in exploring the island's cultural heritage. It is also renowned for its seafood cuisine, with several local restaurants offering traditional Sardinian dishes. Its captivating natural beauty and isolated location make it a perfect yacht charter destination and how lucky we are to spend our day in the beautiful place.
Porto Cervo
Distance from last location: 7 nmThis stunning seaside village in Sardinia boasts a picturesque marina filled with luxury yachts, striking beaches, and breathtaking vantage points that make it an ideal stop on a yachting week and we will spend our remainder of the day here. The village is a haven for the rich and famous, with high-end dining options aplenty. A-listers can be found soaking up the sun and nibbling on seafood at Spinnaker, sipping cocktails on the elegant garden terrace at La Briciola, or enjoying a discreet evening at the glamorous Sottovento club. During the day, the marina-side sofa at Aqua Lounge is the perfect spot for sipping cocktails and enjoying the stunning views.
Golfo Aranci
Distance from last location: 9 nmGolfo Aranci is a terrific place to enjoy northeast Sardinia, especially if you like fishing, scuba diving, and dolphin-spotting instead of celebrities. Golfo Aranci was a fishing village, it has lovely white sand and shallow blue waters. It's great for families because you can walk for ages before the water reaches your waist. The waterfront promenade is perfect for a romantic evening stroll, with a gorgeous sunset to capture. You'll pass many boats and may witness "Il Canto della Sirena," a 5-tonne bronze mermaid figure that rises from the ocean at specific times.
Isola di Mortorio
Distance from last location: 5 nmThis uninhabited island is a natural paradise with craggy shores and granite outcroppings. It is part of the National Park of the Archipelago of La Maddalena and is surrounded by a rich and lush scenery created by the profusion of Mediterranean scrub and broom. The islet is a haven for bird watchers because it serves as a breeding ground for numerous species, including the Corsican gull and the peregrine falcon. Mortorio island's unique and delicate ecosystem is protected by a building ban to save it from being damaged or destroyed. This is our final stop before returning back to Cannigione.
Cannigione
Distance from last location: 8 nmWe will finish our trip by returning back to Cannigione. We will talk about our week filled with unforgettable memories which we lived through Italian Riviera. We spend our last night at the Marina and leave our boat the next morning.
